Frequently Asked Questions
Everything patients and practices ask about using Oralynk Orlando.
Is Oralynk free for patients?
Yes. Searching the directory, comparing specialists, and requesting a referral are free for patients. Practices pay an optional subscription for premium placement and tools.
How does a referral request work?
You tell us the specialty you need, your location, insurance, and timing — through the directory or the Smile Assistant. Your request is routed to the matched practice, which contacts you to confirm the appointment.
Do I need a referral from my dentist first?
Not necessarily. Many specialists accept self-referred patients. If you do have a referral from your general dentist, mention it — it can speed up scheduling.
Where does the specialist information come from?
Listings are built from the practices' own information plus public records: Florida Department of Health licensing data and the federal NPI registry. Experience lines like “Licensed since 2006” cite those public records, and profile summaries are generated only from them.
Is the insurance information guaranteed?
No — accepted insurance is self-reported by practices and networks change. State licensing records don't include insurance participation, so always confirm coverage directly with the office before your visit.
Which areas does Oralynk cover?
The greater Orlando metro: Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties, including Orlando, Winter Park, Kissimmee, Sanford, Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs, Clermont, and surrounding cities.
How do specialists join the network?
Create a provider account and claim your listing from the directory. We confirm ownership with a verification code sent to the practice's contact on file, or by manual review, before portal control activates. Subscription plans with premium placement are optional and billed monthly through Stripe.
How do I remove or correct my listing?
Email support@oralynk.com from your practice email, or claim the listing through the provider portal to update contact details, insurances, and availability yourself.
